Europe Trip Part 2: Glasgow & Edinburgh

Our next stop was Scotland. We spent 2 1/2 days there, one of which was a beautiful, sunny, summer day. The rest of the time it was freezing, super windy, overcast, and raining. The 4+ hour train ride was quite nice as it wasn't full, there was wifi, and of course, the scenery was very pretty.

We went on a tasting tour at the Glengoyne distillery the next day. It's outside of Glasgow and it's actually a cute place with a waterfall, ponds, and lots of greenery. The tour was very informative and interesting, however, the tasting bit was indubitably the best part of it, heh.

The next day we got a train up to Edinburgh and had a jolly good [freezing] time there. Went to the Edinburgh Castle, walked around town, and went to the Scottish National Gallery. When we got back to Glasgow, we went over to the Riverside Musuem. We didn't stay long enough to explore the countryside, but at least we did a lot in the time we spent there. :)
