Sniff

So, my brother and sisters left yesterday and now the house seems extra empty ... prow (that's for you, Ange).

Ah, July was a pretty interesting month. Quite intense actually. I do believe everyone in my family is intense. We had many good times though, which I'm very thankful for.

I was especially glad to see my brother after all these years (13!), and no doubt it was great seeing my sisters again, sigh.

Oh well, now life is back to its normal busy-ness. School starts next week, busking, In-House gourmet dinners, there are plans for another English immersion day and pre-teen camp, and our Project's Bible School restarts tomorrow.

I'm back to being one of the coordinators/participants. I had a 3-year break after having particiated since I was 14, yay!

In this month that passed I got to go to several really cool places, got to eat out a few times with my family, went to the movies, and had nice times of fellowship.

Oh yes, and Laura was weaned when I traveled. I miss nursing her, sniff. And she finally got the hang of crawling. So much progress in one month!

Adorable clothes for Laura ... thanks again Trish!

Most everything was quite tasty:

Driving through my Petrópolis on our way back home. I love this town!

That's the Crystal Palace in the way back. We were going to stop by the Imperial Palace, but there was too much traffic and it was getting late. Too bad.

Caraça. Again.

We're off to the Caraça Sanctuary tomorrow and we'll (our family) be gone for two days. Gabriel and Laura will be going by train so please pray for their safekeeping. Actually, for all of ours 'cause the road to Caraça is quite dangerous. Also, for Laura to be an exceptionally good girl. Thanks!

Trip to Buzios 2

We spent a day in Cabo Frio (another beach town) and Alina had quite a bit of fun collecting shells, swimming, eating popsicles, and chasing pigeons.

Going in the water all by herself:

A puffer fish and sea urchins my siblings caught:

Waiting for Alina:

Still chasing birds:

Cheers! (and a cheesy grin)

All of us:

All the siblings and an in-law downtown:

Trip to Buzios 1

Travelling to Buzios in the parents' RV (a good 10-hour trip):

The day after we arrived:

A couple of dead crabs we got the previous night:

Real busy watching Alina swim ... not.

At the beach!

Alina going in the water with her aunt Patricia:

My brother and sisters being foolish:

Playing:

A few of us sisters being goofy:

Alina was really tired, hence her grumpy face:

Another beautiful day at the beach ... didn't even seem like winter!

Having a snack:

We went on a fun boat ride and here we are waiting for the boat (it was quite windy):

They served caipirinhas and pop on the boat ... so yummy (the caipis that is).

With Moother at one of the beaches that the boat stopped by:

There was some sort of race/championship happening:
