Today was this year's first school day and I'm glad to say it was a pretty good day. I managed to wake up early and have a good start (miracle of miracles!), and the kids were 80% inspired about starting school again.
They're following a new schedule and someone was able to get Laura for me so I didn't have to juggle caring for her and teaching the kids, making my day easier. Also, they reached their scholastic goals for the day, enjoyed P.E., and we had a yummy snack of strawberry milkshake, fried bananas, and chocolate oatmeal balls. All in all, a good day.
Alina had a hard time waking up early and, after grumbling about it for half the day, she finally got over it. When she went to bed she was talking to herself making plans for tomorrow about how she'll wake up early, do her chores before breakfast, eat breakfast quickly, and then play until it's time for class. A brilliant plan!
We'll see if she'll actually wake up early, heh.
